over the weekend

This past weekend Chuck and I watched my father-in-laws dog. It's a 3-year-old Miniature Pincer, a runner in other words. They went to New York.... again, for the weekend to see Maggie’s family and asked if we’d watch her. We have watched her before, but even I (the animal lover) wanted to strangle her!

She was constantly needing to go out every 2 hours at nighttime. When Mitzy (the dog) didn’t want out, Buddy was pitching a fit ‘cause the dog kept eating his cat food and his dish was empty. It wasn't Bebe either; she was in bed with us all night (she makes a good butt-warmer, lol)! Poor Chuck had to keep getting up and down which kept me up. Finally, he had enough and ignored her. So what she'd do? The darn dog peed on the floor!

Mitzy was with us twice as long this time, the dad dropped her off early Friday morning and Chuck took her home Monday night. We wondered if she was showing signs of separation anxiety or something. But ALL weekend? I think her weight had a lot to do with it. She is real fat! She always has been, a tiny head on a super chunky, round body. Maggie claims its not fat its all muscle. Yeah whatever!!! A month ago, Mitzy could jump up in bed with us or fit underneath. This time Chuck had to lift her and put her in bed, or else she’d wedge herself underneath. Here we are worrying about Bebe’s weight (since she is a scrounger), but having our nearly 8-year-old dog stand by Mitzy makes Bebe look anorexic. We wanted them to watch our dog when I went home this summer, now we’re afraid they’ll overdue it with the table scraps like they did to Mitzy.

We also got our niece and nephew Friday night. We expected Brenden to end up staying the night, but on their way over, Carrie decided to also stay. They’ve stayed before, but always one at a time. This time it was both! It was a lot of fun and when my mom heard me with the kids she said I'd make a very good mom!!!

My new chair is fixed

Hooray, my chair has been worked on and is back in my possession!! *sp?

Brake works, display thing works, even a new head rest that fits. Unfortunatey,, still the same legrests. Have no idea when they'll be replaced with the ones (that were supposedly ordred and delivered) that fit...remember I am short and thin, not big and fat that the chair was oiginally built for!

Back to 2004/2005

Ok where did I leave off? Ah, yes, Sharon moving in w/ my brother-in-law, Ken.

I always have yahoo on. I enjoy listening to my yahoo LAUNCH cast plus while doing other things on the internet...which was (& still is) like all of the time. She was on most of the time, so yes I still could talk w/ her and find out how she was doing.

Once the kids started back to school in January, she would come visit me every so often...only when Chuck was at work. Sharon got a 6 month old miniature poodle and would bring it to the dads before he (the dog) was even potty trained. She would go to the house during the day to get some of her stuff, but mainly it was to use dad’s computer since he still used (and still does to this day) cable hook-up for the internet. While she was on, the dog (and the kids if they had no school) was allowed To run free and pee all over the house. Because of this, the dog still pees when he goes over there even now!

Shirley Goodnest
A mom was concerned about her kindergarten son walking to school. He didn't want his mother to walk with him. She wanted to give him the feeling that he had some independence but yet know that he was safe. So she had an idea of how to handle it. She asked a neighbor if she
would
please follow him to school in the mornings, staying at a distance, so he probably wouldn't notice her. She said that since she was up early with her toddler anyway, it would be
a
good way for them to get some exercise as well, so she agreed. The next school day, the neighbor and her little girl set out following behind Timmy as he walked to school with another neighbor boy he knew.
She
did this for the whole week. As the boys walked and chatted, kicking stones and twigs, Timmy's little friend noticed the same lady was following them as she seemed to do every day all week. Finally he said to Timmy, "Have you noticed that lady following us to school all week? Do you know her?" Timmy nonchalantly replied, "Yeah, I know who she is." The friend said, "Well, who is she?" "That's just Shirley Goodnest," Timmy replied, "and her daughter Marcy." "Shirley Goodnest? Who the heck is she and why is she following us? " "Well," Timmy explained, "every night my Mom makes me say the 23rd Psalm with my prayers, 'cuz she worries about me so much. And in the Psalm, it says, 'Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all the days of my
life',
so I guess I'll just have to get used to it!" May Shirley Goodnest and Marcy be with you today and always.........

HOPE THIS MAKES YOU SMILE
THE MOST FUNCTIONAL ENGLISH WORD

Well, it's shit ... that's right, shit!

Shit may just be the most functional word in the English language.

You can smoke shit, buy shit, sell shit, lose shit, find shit, forget shit,
and tell others to eat shit.

Some people know their shit, while others can't tell the difference
between shit and shineola.

There are lucky shits, dumb shits, and crazy shits. There is bull shit, horse shit, and chicken shit.

You can throw shit, sling shit, catch shit, shoot the shit, or duck when the shit hits the fan.

You can give a shit or serve shit on a shingle.

You can find yourself in deep shit or be happier than a pig in shit.

Some days are colder than shit, some days are hotter than shit,
and some days are just plain shitty.

Some music sounds like shit, things can look like shit, and there are times when you feel like shit.

You can have too much shit, not enough shit, the right shit, the wrong shit or a lot of weird shit.

You can carry shit, have a mountain of shit, or find yourself up shit creek without a paddle.

Sometimes everything you touch turns to shit and other times you fall in a bucket of shit and come out smelling like a rose.

When you stop to consider all the facts, it's the basic building block of the English language.

And remember, once you know your shit, you don't need to know anything else!!

You could pass this along, if you give a shit; or not do so if you don't give a shit!

Well, Shit, it's time for me to go. Just wanted you to know that I do give a shit and hope you had a nice day, without a bunch of shit. But, if you happened to catch a load of shit from some shit-head...........
Well, Shit Happens!!!

'Bout time for a blog update, huh

Boy, been awhile since my last blog. I pulled a muscle in my back a few weeks ago so haven't been able to type much. But feel better now so I can write now, and if you’re waiting for my response to an email...don't worry it's coming!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Mine was kind of ho-hum. I could not get Chuck to put up the tree, he did however put up the lights on the outside of our house...which surprised me, he hadn't put up the lights since we lived at his dads! I just couldn't seem to get in the mood. Just not as eventful as when I was a kid. Those long nights of looking out the window, waiting for my cousin, Amber's, family car to drive up and spending the holiday w/ them. The sleepless Christmas Eve nights anxious to see what Santa brought. Falling asleep next to the freshly decorated tree, w/ the colored lights blinking and all other lights off listening to soft classic Christmas tunes and the moonlight making the snow glisten thru the big picture window in the background.

Now it's just a big expensive hassle. I walked thru Wal*mart in October to get my nephews a birthday gift and they had out Christmas decorations already! Talk abut spoiling the mood, I don’t believe in getting ready for Christmas until AFTER Thanksgiving. Decorating so early is ridiculous, I mean it’s not like I start to decorate 2 months before MY birthday. Remember the reason for the season people!!!

As most of u know I got a new chair 2 months ago, and already its falling apart! First, the left brake stopped working. One day, I noticed Chuck was able to move my chair to the left when I was turned off. Not thinking much of it since I was on flat ground, I didn’t say anything. Then a couple days later, Chuck noticed how easy it was to push me left while off. When I was going up the outside ramp, I started sliding in a backward circle. Which almost caused me to flip off of the ramp, luckily Chuck caught me. Second, that annoying little menu display monitor quit working. So I could not lean back, raise my feet or change speeds anymore. Took a few weeks, but last week they finally brought me a loaner chair and took mine to be fixed. Have no idea how things are going or when they'll be done. They said the brake will be covered under warranty, but since the display is caused by a split in the wire, the warranty may not cover it.
