We have decided to gravel

Chuck and I still have not had our yard surveyed yet. We still couldn't figure out whether we should or should not. Since it's getting warmer outside, we have been spending more time out and looking at our yard. The front yard would look really decent if we laid gravel along the circular driveway, but we were told that several years ago half of the driveway was involved in a neighborly dispute. The guy that lived in the cabin next our home argued that the right driveway belonged to his property. No one has lived in that cabin for many many years, but when we bought this house the right driveway was blocked off which had Chuck and I worried.

There were many poles and a few that were cemented in place, and they had orange markings on the top so we pretty much figured that they had once had it surveyed at one time. So Chuck measured from pole to pole in our yard and the poles in other yards. So we have figured out that the driveway is ours, so is our water well and so is our septic drainage hole. So once were able to come up with the extra money, we can gravel the driveway.
